Position: Senior Software (Data) Engineer

Worksite: St. Louis, Missouri    Full-Time Permanent

Position Summary

Design and develop advanced algorithms to compute technical metrics and understand data patterns for precise quantitative trading analyses. 

Core Duties

·         Manage meticulous collection and integration of data from a myriad of sources into BigQuery, Google Spreadsheets, MySQL, Hive, and MongoDB databases using both Python and Google Apps Script

·         Dissect and interpret complex datasets using Python and R statistical libraries, and perform backtests to evaluate analytical model

·         Deploy AI / machine learning techniques focusing on honing predictive models and refining trading algorithms

·         Craft WordPress plugins to present complex data in an intuitive manner to elevate user experience

·         Configure and optimize VMWare environments for high-level data analysis, and implement / oversee VM proxies leveraging Cloudflare Tunneling to ensure security;

·         Administer GitLab, WordPress servers, and Cockpit service to ensure optimal system monitoring, version control, and development efficiencies using Jupyter and Notebook

·         Create and maintain database instances / server accesses of Hive / MongoDB and MySQL database for application development needs

·         Collaborate with development teams for their database access and data needs in multiple environments like Python, R, PHP, and MongoDB Shell

·         Monitor database cluster connectivity / security, security breaches, error logs, database/log space, user activities, and resource utilization

·         Design and implement effective backup/recovery strategy for hot / archive logs / logical backups of database clusters

·         Maintain and manage container farm to support data processing and AI model implementation

·         Prepare software environment in container farm and Hadoop / MongoDB clusters to support blockchain data collection and analysis

 

Qualification Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or a closely related field.
